  1. Something that a friend of mine said to me sticks here.  The latest polling data has been deliberately skewed in favor of the Dems--the AP/Yahoo poll, for example, which showed Bambi up by 2, 44%-42%, had 43% Repubvlicans in the survey--and 57% Democrats. You’d think that a poll skewed by 14% in favor of the Dems would show a larger lead.

And, concerning “change,” this phrase sticks:  Be very careful what you ask for--sometimes, you get it. There will be all sorts of people bemoaning the “change” that the Obamessiah brings.  A little examination will reveal that they voted for the guy, but they didn’t want this sort of “change.” But, because they voted for the generic principle of “change,” they own the “change” they wrought.

  2. I just heard this on Fox & Friends--supposedly, Colin Powell’s son Michael Powell (former head of the FCC, and a former cavalry lieutenant) is backing John McCain.  I’d like to hear that one from his mouth . . .

  4. Here’s a good response to change (don’t remember where I read it this week) Yes sir, We do need change - that is why the US changes it’s President every 4 to 8 years!

Change my backside - go out and see if you can find (I found it sort of buried in the new book section at B & N) - Obama Unmasked by Floyd Brown & Lee Troxler. The only thing I find wrong is some snarky comments here and there (but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion in their book). They take everything Obama from his birth to his policies to his votes and lay them out - in order, even with some of the nutiest comments/theories and present them all in one place. When you pull together the truth - most especially in order - it does stagger the mind that this guy is even in the US Senate - much less running for POTUS.

Colin said it perfectly - An African-American President would be electrifying.

It is a shame that Obama is all about race. How tolerant is that?

  5. The press tried to spin the polls in favor of the Liberal Party of Canada up here too.  The Election results (the ONLY poll that matters) told a different story:  Conservatives ended up with a stronger Minority government than before, the Liberals ended up 19 seats weaker.  (With 4 parties splitting the vote, minorities may be the political reality up here for a while.)

Take heart from this:  The Democrats may have the media shilling for them.  It is their nature, after all.  I expect nothing more from them.  The RINOs may be endorsing their favorite son.

None of this means ANYTHING on voting day.  When the votes are counted, wouldn’t it be sweet to see the media desperately trying to explain away a Republican victory?  Oh sure, they’ll accuse the Republicans of having stole the election again, but the counter argument to make loudly is this:  Or perhaps the American People have had enough of your bullshit and voted against your ideology.

Here’s hoping America has seen what a Democrat congress has been like enough to have developed a case of nausea, revulsion, and regret at the thought of leaving them in power.

Tiger [ who’s rooting for the Republican team in the good ‘ol USA ]
