  1. Er.. Peiper?

“I’ll never be convinced that it is way past time to bring in vigilante justice and especially in cases like this one.”

*confused look* I dunno, it sounds like it IS definitely way past time for some of that.

And as for this punk that after 15 years of education can’t even put together a decent sentence denying his culpability in this awful crime?  The death penalty needs to be brought back, it’s as simple as that.  Anyone that would beat a 15 month old little girl to death is so mentally broken there’s no fixing them.  Put this prick out of OUR misery, and let Hell deal with his soul.

  2. Throw “mama” under the same bus.

  3. Tiger, I think I screwed up the wording. You’re right. I should have said, “I’ll never be convinced that it isn’t way past time”

I was really so damn upset seeing that kid and reading the story and then reading that last part from his lawyer, there was this RCOB that came down and that was all I could see.
And what’s just as sickening to me is the fact that this is not unique.

There has been a huge scandal involving child services dropping the ball in a case that was known as Baby P.  The poor kid was beaten over many months. I think he was less then 18mos old. He’d been beaten so badly that when he finally died and they did an autopsy, they found some of his teeth in his stomach.

There aren’t any words to convey the feeling. Well, there might be but they’d be so filled with hate and anger and to be honest frustration. Frustration because anybody who can do that sort of thing continues to breathe, that bothers me a lot.
Google Baby P and you’ll get the picture.  I never posted the story or photos. Just couldn’t.  Don’t know why I did this one.  Again,,,frustration I guess.

  4. Peiper:  Fair enough, I figured that might be the case.  I completely understand flubbing a word or two under the effects of trying to write while viewing events through an RCOB.

Lord knows I’ve been angry enough when commenting on some posts here that what I write seems dead-on when I type it.  I go back the next day and catch a word or two out of place and hope everyone knows what I meant!

As to Baby P:  I just read a couple of articles on that case to bring myself up to speed, and… Oh dear God.

May baby Peter’s soul rest in peace.

  5. Just a few thoughts/observations…

My guess, and I haven’t read more than what’s in the article, is that said 15-yr-old is an only child?

I only say this because I knew how to handle crying babies very early with the births of my younger sisters. I was also taught at a young age:

    How to hold babies
    How to bottle feed them
    How to change diapers
How to wash diapers (this was before disposable diapers…)

By the time I was fifteen, I was earning most of my spending money by babysitting. At least during the school year.

(I know, you sexist women are thinking “a teenage male is invading our turf!")

Why? Because I, a patriarchal, misogynistic, male, learned how to handle babies and young children via my younger siblings. No injuries, no shaking the baby…

    Sigh…

BTW, patriarchal I confess to, but I am NOT misogynistic. I love my wife. I especially love the differences… grin

I just don’t get why this happened. I don’t get the mind-set that would result in this. It has to be a self-centered, only-child, who did this.
