  1. So far this kind of reaction from the passengers seems to be the norm these days. Which is great! If I had help to take down a terrorist I would be hurting him as much as possible in the process.

  2. The guy’s lucky to be alive.

  3. "Cell phone cord being brandished as a weapon?” Thanks a whole lot, you worthless piece of sh*t.  Now I’ve got to pack away cables that I carry in my laptop bag just because of your actions.  You can kill a person with a damned Bic pen if you are so inclined.  You can kill someone with a #2 wooden pencil as well.  Arrest this goon, try him and if found guilty pipe in sunlight to his cell.

  4. Marshals or not, nobody will be able to take over a commercial flight ever again in this country. The other passengers won’t allow it. Faced with the choice of sitting quietly and being flown into a building or rising and attacking the perpetrators I know what I would do and I believe that most other people feel the same way. We’ve seen it before (Richard Reid) and we’ll see it again, I’m sure.

  5. Robert Heinlein wrote in his novel “Time Enough For Love” “...if you’re going to go down, go down fighting.  The size of your honor guard determines your status in Hell.”
