  1. Saw the photo before reading it all and thought they were odd looking. Never dawned on me to equate them with slavery. But then, I wasn’t looking for it either. Ole Jesse is ever ready.

  2. It didn’t occur to me either. If anything, they’re more jailhouse than slave hut. But I’m not a racial radar porcupine™ like some are.
