I’ll bet a dollar she’s back in action by next Wednesday. This madwoman can’t have found the sanity to really throw in the towel ... this is just a twisted ploy.
If I was richer, I’d bet an even $10,000 she’s back in the public eye again by Labor Day at the latest.

Guys, guys - I’d have to bet against you - comeon - either her source of income dried up or any one of the scams, schemes that she is involved with (The Crawford Peace House mysteriously missing some 250,000 to 690,000 dollars - depending on whose ‘books’ you are looking at, the NO Veterans for Peace scam - which is also ‘missing’ money, the land ‘swindle’ in Crawford - who bought it, who owns it, whose paying on it, her, what 6 or 7 arrests and let us not forget her public declaration to NOT pay taxes) did her in. The IRS is the only gov agency that has no heart and even Congress and judges are afraid of. When only 250 showed up for her ‘10,000 Mother March’ and when the Gathering of Eagles did in the Vietnam march on Washington redo - I think it finally became clearer that she was not ‘leading’ the movement but I do believe when the two faced, lying politicians in DC turned on the lunatic fringe that ‘overwhelming majority and madate’ pushed them into power - made her realize that she has met the enemy and it is her.
I think it is rich that the lunatic fringe is getting a taste of exactly what the majority of Americans have been getting for years - crap bills shoved down our throats while our petitions are ignored left, right and indifferent.
BTW BobF - she even blew chunks on her mention of SPC Casey Sheehan - in her Dear Democratic Congress (when she quit the Democrat Party, also on Daily Kos) - she said she chose Memorial Day because ‘Casey was born on Memorial Day in 1979. [except that an intrepid investigator at Sweetness & Light who actually used the Internet for more than a glorified wordprocessor discovered that May 29th in 1979 was a Tuesday - and that Memorial Day was formally changed to the last Monday in May in 1971] - oops!
Always with Cindy it is lies, damn lies and crappy lies. Good riddence to bad rubish.
OK, her 15 minutes are over for now. Yes, she’s a wacko, but I’ve still got to feel sorry for her. Even left wing wackos are human. The left took her grief and used her like a cheap whore and now she knows it. It’s gotta be a real sick feeling.
The only reason I can feel forgiveness and sympathy for her is that I really don’t think that she was capable of understanding what she was doing and how she was being manipulated a lot of the time.
Sorry Dr Jeff - my son a OIF Veteran and I had that discussion - as a living human who has turned her back on everything in her life (religion, son, husband, family, country) I can extend a modicum of forgiveness. Except that I’ve followed her throughout wondering all along exactly what it was that pissed me off so much about her (I can get really riled and go on and on). It is because neither side is Cindy - she raised her son in the (Catholic) Church, even worked for the Church, Boy Scouts and to do the right thing for his fellow man. When exactly that lead to his death, she turned on it all - doing a faux Christ with the Cross abomination at Easter in Crawford, calling Casey’s Eagle Scout achievement a ‘man-badge’ and saying that this country is not worth dying for.
The problem is that Casey was 21 when he enlisted and then after 2003 (OIF start) he re-enlisted. Both of those decisions did nothing to rile up Cindy - if she was so damn anti-war - why wasn’t she protesting back in 2001 when the ‘war machine’ (as she calls it) actually started gearing up? Why wait until her son was killed - some several hundred dead into OIF to suddenly scream about lies, evil bushitlerburtonco?
So it becomes which Cindy is the real Cindy? I came to realize that neither one was - she sold out to ‘mainstream’ America to raise her children - and then sold out on the very values she instilled into her son when they lead to his death (SPC Casey Sheehan volunteered for a mission to rescue a patrol that was under fire and had wounded - 7 other young soldiers died along with SPC Sheehan - ’greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13).
So she was more than willing to sell out at the first hardship, as she is now with the failure of the anti-war ‘movement’ and the sellout of the politicos in DC - that is not a value her son held at all - he went above and beyond the call and laid down his life.
Sad that she never, ever saw honor in all that her son accomplished in his short life and take some measure of comfort from that honor. Instead she chose to spit on everything that is good about America, her son and every single person who ever served in the Armed Forces. And that is why I do not feel sorry for her at all.
Disagree, debate, dissent - that is what makes America rich. Lie, distort and demean anyone not on ‘your side’ - you are no longer worthy of being listened to at all. Nor pitied and until she publically apologises to every one who served - not to be forgiven.
You know that there was an anti-war dad - Ken Joseph who actually did something (I think he went to Iraq) and publically came out and said ‘I was wrong’ 2002/03 - of course the msm would never do a story on such a thing - might undermine their agenda. I’m suprised that they reported on this story - must be to gear up for the new face of the anti-war movement - maybe a resurection of Hanoi Jane?
Fair enough. Let’s see what she does next.
This whole sad episode goes to show just how dirty politics works.
I find it interesting the Democrats were more effective in forcing Ms. Sheehan to call it quits then the Republicans.
Just one more example of Democrats being Democrats where the end justify the means.
Anyone who feels sympathy for this traitorous psycho commie bitch is out of his or her mind.
Sheehan has been a member of the “Ward Churchill Moonbat Assclown Society” since the 1980’s. She made several speaches denouncing Reagan during that period.
When she heard her son joined the Military she threatened to have his legs broken so he couldn’t serve “this fascist oppressor nation”. Her association with the public leaders of world socialism has been her lifelong dream. She was so extreme that her husband divorced her years ago. No one could stand a life of such witch cackling.
It has been one of the really disgusting parts of this whole scam that our wonderful media douche bags have covered up her previous activities as a traitor and only portrayed her as a victim of her son’s death.
He was the only good thing that ever came out of any of her orifices.
I’m gonna miss her if she really does leave the limelight for good. Here are four good reasons from the Moonbat Memorial:

Too bad it won’t last long - my Congressional Representative will be here tonight and I am dragging myself and my daughter to the ‘town hall meeting’ - should be a hoot. I’m very afraid that I will be dissolusioned that he is just another one pandering for a vote.
Babylonandon - where ever did you get the info from - I have tried to really do research on the ‘fake’ grieving Mother Sheehan - to weed out the lies and what not. I have even read her ‘books’ - but had not heard of her giving speeches prior to 2004 - and had not heard about the threats against Casey for enlisting (although in her tomb of wisdom, Peace Mom, she did put into print that Casey enlisted without their knowledge).
My favorite line from her - ‘we are fighting a nuclear war in Iraq and it will be contaminated like forever’ - should have caused every single person with a functioning brain cell to laugh her off the public stage - but alas she was given a pass and allowed another 18+ months to spew hate, venom and lies upon America, the Armed Forces and the current Administration.
Great investigative and UNBIASED media reporting - again.
