But, this is Joe Biden’s State!

  1. Delaware is a “May-issue” state for CCWs.  That arrogant attitude obviously carries through to their permits to purchase weapons for the citizenry.

Personally I find the whole “Permit to purchase” thing offensive.  No permit is needed.  Perform the criminal background check on me to make sure I’m not a criminal trying to buy weapons, and if I come back clean then that’s the end of it, and I am free to walk out of that shop with as many weapons as my budget can afford.

If I fail the background check, no weapons for me.  I can go try to sort any mistakes out with the State’s records.

You’re right, the lawsuits need to start flying and for HIGH damages too.

    Can’t have a gun because she’s too old… It’s only a freakin’ 22.  It’s exactly the kind of playfield-leveling device someone who’s 81 can benefit from!

  2. Hmm.. a glitch that never found it’s way to the bug reports.. How, what’s the word I’m looking for, convenient?
This was not an accidental omission, this was left out of the log book for good reason. It was a beneficial bug. That’s it in a nutshell. Like the coke machine in the office that gives out free soda if you thump it just right. No one is going to report that, it’s free drinks at lunch!

Bah.. bureaucrats in the police can be the worse kind. I have no problem with regular road cops, but the ones who push papers sometimes get a bit too overzealous.

    Bill

  3. Why doesn’t the ACLU give a rat’s a** about this clear corruption of the law?

Just rhetorical, no need to actually answer unless you’re member, employee or supporter of the ACLU.  You won’t.  We know you won’t.  You’ll hide behind the statement that the 2nd Amendment is a collective right while ignoring the basic violation of the law that was committed by the retention of the records.  How about the violation of the law that occurred by denying the weapon based upon non existent requirements?

Come on ACLU!  Stand up and defend your position!  Explain why you don’t care about violations like this while engaging in major lawsuits based more on legal theory than reality.  Bah.

If we sent this whole posting, with all its comments, over to the Delaware offices of the ACLU, who wants to bet that we’d get no answer beyond “We appreciate your interest....”?  If we even got that much.
