   NJ = Mexico
   Hudson River = Rio Grande
   Deer = illegal immigrants (they show up uninvited, they consume scarce resources, their presence leads to unintended consequences, half the population wants to get rid of them while the other half wants them to stay ... continue with your own analogies)

   Now New Yorkers know how we feel down here.

3. Meanwhile the only deer we have seen this year is a buck just outside our fences. But then again - we did were not able to plant a thing and the asparagus and cherries crapped out before full growth due to the cold temps monsoons we had this spring. So there was absolutely nothing to encourage furry visitors - although the ground hog desperately attempted to find something in our garden to subsist on.

   Heck even the neighborhood cats aren’t visiting much.

   Bad year all the way around.
