It’s about time it started getting cold. Yesterday was the first day in Dayton it didn’t get above freezing. As usual, we will pay for this in February/early March. I used to keep records back when I was a mailman. February/early March. There were a couple of years we had a late blizzard in early April.
Should buy a Ford next time Drew. I’ve a nine-year-old Ford Focus. All I’ve had to do so far is a new set of tires.
I have a Saturn also, I noticed that the entire exhaust system is stainless steel, EXCEPT for the shitty brackets. The one on the muffler part rots out every few years.
You can thank your tax dollars paying the govt putting down corrosive road salt down.
Not true everywhere rlabutis. When I lived in Utah they didn’t bother with road salt. They just spread sand on top. I remember one winter that the road was at least a foot higher due to layers of snow/sand/snow/sand etc.
You are right Chris, I noticed that too in Colorado when I was skiing there, they just sand the roads and that’s it.
In CT they put way too much salt that my street turns white and all the bridges are corroded and they spend millions to keep them from falling apart.
recently they have been using liquid deicers, supposedly non-corrosive.
