But but animals are our furry little woodlands friends!

I wonder if Rye Playland is having it’s very own Jaws Moment right about now?

Mayor Vaughn: [to reporter] I’m pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have, in fact, caught and killed a large predator that supposedly injured some bathers. But, as you see, it’s a beautiful day, the beaches are open and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means “friendship”.

Rye, as you know, means disdainfully ironic, at least if you spell it the other way.

  1. I just lost my two kittens to coyotes here. That’s 5 cats lost - between me and the neighbor down the road - in the last 6-8 months.

Our policy is Shoot On Sight. Our other policy is When It Cools Off This Fall - Bait ‘Em In With Caged Chickens And Shoot Them Until They All Die Quite A Bit.

  2. "Since last Friday, police in Rye have fired a total of three shots at coyotes. Each time, the coyotes got away.”

Hmmmm.... sounds like the townspeople need to ask why the local police are such bad shots.  Maybe they need some more range time.

    wink

  3. Yes the wild animals do adapt - and since we found deer scat in our yard - fences don’t mean a thing to them (sort of like illegal aliens).

Adaptation is the cornerstone of these idiots core belief - survival of the fittest - but I guess dumbing down the education means even evolution gets the short shift - too busy teaching victimization and pc speak.

  4. My cats got killed because I haven’t reduced the local coyote population enough - yet. And - no - its not an excuse to kill something. I don’t need an excuse - only the will.

  5. Well, think it through for a whole quarter second there OldCat. When coyotes are attacking children in public during daylight hours in front of groups of people, do you really think this anti-hunting anti-gun liberal bastion of a town is merely looking for an excuse to blast some animals? No, they have had to face the hard facts that their children are in actual danger, and that all the alternate methods have failed.

  6. OCM - the coyotes are free to do as they wish. So is my cat. So am I.

There’s everything natural about my cat being outside - simply because he WANTS to be outside. As for that horseshit about “taxpayers spending millions...” my view is tough shit. I paid a lot of those taxes myself, and have never taken a dime of welfare or assistance. ‘Bout time to get some back.

Now if you hold me responsible for the cat being domesticated - and now somehow deprived of wandering-free rights you give coyotes - then you’ll completely understand I’m just watching out for the coyotes. Like - watch out coyote, or I’ll blow your cerebrum out your ass if you come here. smile

The coyotes will adapt to the fact that being around McGoo’s acres is naturally dangerous because they naturally get their brains amputated when they stray too close looking for some kitties to eat.

Of course, they are free to keep coming over. Its their choice. I’ll try to show them they’re welcome. Then I’ll show them their brains. It’s only fair!

  7. BTW - Drew - them’s those frangible-type rounds - yes? For maximum internal fuck-all in the critter? Cool. Only the best for the coyotes...only the best!

Some of those Hornady rounds contain molybdenum disulfide - which is an excellent meat tenderizer and imparts a chicken-like flavor to aged game. Or so I was told....

  8. Well! I detect a note of ... dare I say it? ... hostility? ... in you’re most recent missive, OCM. Perhaps I didn’t make my point sufficiently clear - or maybe it was lost in the layers of nuance and implicit innuendo that my comment was laced: Suck anus. Please.

    ...And it ain’t bad-assed the way I do it. Just...lethal. I’m not a hunter.

  9. Oh! The last thing I killed with a gun was a coyote.

  10. ...and this conversation. Sorry, Drew, and all.

Well ... all but one. smile

  12. Coyotes are not dogs.  They are not lassie or any other Disney type character.  They are not pets.  They are smart, highly adaptable, can eat anything, and survive anywhere, and they are totally ruthless predators.  When they lose their fear of people they are just plain dangerous.  The town of Rye needs to get it together and start wiping them out before something really awful happens, and by any means available.  Coyotes are elusive, stealthy, and notoriously hard to hit.  PC animal rights douches should sit this one out, unless they want the blood of someones six year old on their hands.  This isn’t some peice of shit hollywood production. This is real life, the real deal, with real lives in danger.
Kill em all, let GAIA sort them out.

  13. OK, OldWussDude, just as soon as I happily exterminate this years crop of wild canines. I just read that I can get a CD with rabbit cries - *ahem* kinda like what they sound like when you have your way with them! - on it.

That, a night-vision scope for my AR15, and some serious amphetamines (pots for pussies and nebula boys and aging Whoopees) so I don’t fall asleep, and I’m ready to rock.

I can’t wait to cut their heads off and hang them on my fence - just like they do out west. Pity there’s not more traffic out here; I bet I could make money letting folks shoot my coyotes!

Do you want me to send you their anuses and colons? For your *ahem* scientific use, of course.

  14. Jesus you guys…

  15. This has gone beyond petty bullshit, OCM. McGoo is absolutely correct in his feelings, and coyotes are some wild mf’s. They are of use in the wild, but they are evil around civilization. Yo, McGoo, pm me and we’ll maybe set up a visit so I can help!

Posted by cmblake6    United States   07/03/2010  at  07:56 PM

  16. Aw, don’t be so hard on OldCrotchNommer, Cmblake6! He hasn’t had a stiffy in two fortnights and he was just using me as kind of a verbal rubbing post, whilst he mentally relived old times with his sister. He’s actually sweet as a teddybear (when he takes his meds) and I bear him no ill will - even if he does smell a bit.

Yeah - I’m talkin’ with a bud’ in Tx about coming up and helping me wipe out the local population this Fall after tick (and fucking chigger!) season. You should come too!

We’ll be doing Science! and trying all the techniques I’ve found online so far for ridding the locale of coyotes. Poison, traps, bait ‘n shoot (drinking may be involved!), rabbit-cry recordings, live chickens, staking out a (bathed) live Muslim, etc. I’ll even try good old-fashioned tracking and woodcraft - what I haven’t done since I was about 12 - to find their evil lairs.

I forget - do you own a bazooka? How ‘bout a flamethrower - for young in the nests, y’know?

It won’t be permanent - coyotes always come back (much like OCM’s breath) - but it’ll give my latest kitten time to grow up and learn that it’s dangerous out there. Being half feral may help.

Meanwhile I’ll be chaperoning all kitty visits outdoors. Me and my AR-15.
