2. Oh God, not them, please!  Those “soi-distant” cousins live at the darn bowling alley. Mom works behind the counter, dad runs several leagues, daughter helps out with the kiddie parties, and son merely bowls in 5 leagues. All they do is bowl, from the time they’re out of diapers.

   The Pearce family, however, is represented by just one, myself.
