2. Offer a thousand stagehands day rates and you’ll have it done in a week. Not only that, last minute changes will be easy, as stagehands are long since used to putting it together according to the plot, tweaking it to a fare thee well, and only THEN having the flamer from Production come in and look and say (complete with one hand on hip, the other on cheek and lisping) “You know, I loved it in the rendering, but it’s just not working for me now, can you move the whole thing six inches to the left?”

   Rome wasn’t built in a day, but that was a union gig.

   *snicker*

   I spent 6 years working as a stagehand, in case you can’t tell.
