  1. If you’re a private company, and you’re smart, you never bid on a government contract because winning it means you’re in bed with the devil.  Sure, governments have the fattest wallet around (concentration of tax dollars waiting to be spent), which is why many companies go after their business.  Willingly dealing with them means entanglements, strings, and loss of some, or all control.  It’s better to avoid them like the plague.

GeekWithA.45 has a nice write-up on this called Courtier Industries...

From the article Peiper posted, however:

    > Each gipsy family will be given a “pitch” including space for three caravans, a
    > brick-built bungalow with a day room, kitchen and bathroom, and parking for additional
    > vehicles.

To what gain, exactly?  An increase in the local theft rates?  Seriously, have they lost their god damned MINDS?  (I already know the answer.  They’re Labour, of COURSE they have.)

  2. I am suprised they dont throw in an unroadworthy truck and hiab to steal whole cars to sell for scrap, if this goes all the way the public outrage and retribution will indeed be dire (these gyppos are hard fighters so perhaps a couple of RPGs into each cravan at night would be smart, certainly not right but smart.
