  1. Oh dear, 2 famous authors and a, dare I say it? Fashion Designer?
My fricking knees wobble. Mostly from how hard I am laughing. WHY THE HELL SHOULD/DO WE LISTEN TO THESE DOLTS? Just because someone writes a decent story doesn’t give them credits in diplomacy, and I will not say what I think of the opinion of the fashion designer…
What the hell, were Madonna and Bono busy this week?

This celebrity putting their 2 cents in using their popularity / notoriety thing should have been slapped down decades ago, when Hanoi Jane decided to get into the political side of the war.
Feh, it amuses, and annoys me.
    Bill

John le Carré’s writing is usually tripe anyhow.
    I’d rather read Heinlein…

  2. Where has he been? British have been stripped of their rights for a long time. Is it just that this is a ‘politically correct’ right?

Right to own guns – Gone!
    Right to self-defense – Gone!
Right to use English weights and measures – Gone!
Right to put the trash out a little early – Gone!
Right to criticize Islam – Gone!
Right to medical treatment – Gone!
Right to life in your old age – Going…
Right to blog (as in, writing) – Going…

And le Carre is worried about terrorists?
