India can keep them, if they want a fellow Brit to come over an kick the shyte out of them well they can just give me a call any time.
While certainly interesting, this was not the Pakistani Connection I was thinking of. This just shows how the Jihad can move men and material around the world to where it needs them to be (which is another fascinating point regarding their logistics, but not one we are discussing right not) and how it can continue to bring Westerners into its groups to wage war on the West (see previous).w
No. The main thing is that this organization was aided in some way from the Pakistani government. I would bet on it. Maybe not the whole government, but at least a considerable splinter faction of it. Pakistan has been organizing stuff like this before, and I would be willing to bet this is another move on the global chessboard by Pakistan, or at least its Islamists.
THIS JUST IN: PAKISTAN SENDS HEAD OF ISI TO MUMBAI!
The ISI is the state intelligence bureau of Pakistan, and is literally infested with Islamists, whose handiwork has shown up against us in the past. Now, it appears that there are enough clues that a faction of the Pakistani Government is involved that they send a big gun in to try to find out.
This could get ugly. Have the last Islamist pockets been cleared out? I don’t know.
Ah well, listened to BEEB broadcast late last night. Interesting stuf but of course it all boils down to who to believe.
A Pakistani spokesman here made a very good case against his govt. being involved and said that while it is true there are these rogue (he used another word) members in their intel. and govt., they were being routed out as soon as they were found. And it isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do.
The head of Pakistani Intel went to India to state their case. BBC reports from India and Pakistan say that there has been better communication in recent times between the two countries and this latest terror outrage is hurting both countries.
I can’t recall every word, word for word. But it does not appear to be something sponsored by Pakistan.

The problem is that Pakistan is so completely fragmented that it was NOT necessarily backed by the head honchos, but could have been supported by splinter factions within the Pakistani Regime itself.
Given the Islamist sympathy in the military and government alike, we should be very worried indeed.
