  1. I’m confused. Why were pictures of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and Michelle Obama used to accompany the story?

  5. Uh, third times the charm - I thought it was the Klingon War Bride too!

But I have the reason behind this ‘brawl’ - how dare the ‘journalist’ actually call it that - read the news account (good luck finding one) of the sentencing of Ms Conyers - Ms Davis was just following the example of court room behavior set by the former City Council person - you know how these people (politicos) are so much smarter, better educated and so much better than the average stupid masses - so is this life imitating art or art imitating life?
Or just common criminals in all walks of life - being shown for what they are?

  6. you saw the bollocks you was putting up about the UK and made it ok with this post,

Not sure how you’re using the term bollocks, which I always took to mean something was not true.  I do NOT make this stuff up you know. It seems to be happily supplied to us in the form of govt. pronouncements which are then duly reported on by the media. If you don’t want to see negative things relating to the UK, like illegal travelers camps, binge drinking and underage violent criminals wrecking havoc in your homeland, then perhaps you should take the papers that report the stuff I pass on to task and get them to STOP reporting what is actually going on here. Easy.  Is there a problem with turning a spotlight on the things that are ridiculous or bad. For example, Page 10 of todays Telegraph atthe bottom of that page. Harriet Harperson’s newest law that will most likely be passed making it ILLEGAL to suggest that a woman might not be physically strong.
    The headline reads ...
GYM INSTRUCTORS FACE FULL WEIGHT OF SEX BIAS LAWS

It’s total lunacy of course and of course I MUST post the story here today.
Why?  Because here is where I live for now and because one of the missions of BMEWS as I understand it, is to turn the BMEWS spotlight on things that earn Moonbat points.

Not that we don’t have a problem with the cancer of political correctness in the USA. But it still has not got itself near as bad as it has here. No way to avoid reporting that.

  9. Somebody else reads Fred? I thought I was his only reader.

  10. Christopher ... Yeah. Read him every week in the newsletter.

BD, well. So far we do not have a Harriet Harperson altho there may be some that are close.
It’s also not a bad idea to remind our citizens that as screwy as we think things are at home, there are places that, while quickly critical of our way of life and politics, have nothing to brag about themselves either. Nobody here at BMEWS that I know, is a supporter of the Democrats for example.  And it’s doubtful as screwed up as they are, the Democrats will turn into a Labour Party tho some are trying hard.  Won’t happen cos we have guns. Where Brits seem to fall into line and accept things, where we can, Americans will not stand for some of the things YOU FOLKS are forced to put up with. But I never personally saw things as a stones and glass houses issue because I never implied we were perfect. And Drew has certainly (so has Christopher) posted maddening items of criticism of USA policies and lifestyles and politics even where it meant being critical of our own conservatives.

I have made a practice btw of highlighting and posting obits of Brits no American or any of our readers outside the UK has heard of, because I felt they deserved some sort of recognition for their achievements outside their home country.  But lets be honest, how can a site that uses the phrase in it’s title Barking Moonbat, avoid some of the stories that the UK so easily provides.

Should you run across an absolutely stupid happening in the USA that Drew or Christopher miss, if it runs to the ridiculous and you email any of us about it, I can promise you it won’t be shoved under the virtual carpet by any of us if it’s a legitimate news item of interest.
