Bowling Blahs

 

1. Ya, but at least you made it to the alley. You could have been one of the lucky devils who spent 7 hours stranded in the subway car in NY. Or the russkies who spent 14 hours in the moscow airport with no heat or food or ,well you get the idea.
   
   Put down the weapon,remove your finger from the light socket, and step away from the cliff.

2. Ah Drew welcome to the new World - ME,ME,ME - Oh I signed up to run a group? Well I’m busy. I just spent a few days worrying about the last weeks of my Moms life (can you tell the first anniversary of her death is upon me?!?) and it struck me - I wasn’t alone - there were many people - family, friends, lawyer - who let her down (or took advantage of her).

   The simple courtesies of a Thank You, a simple response Yes or No - even an RSVP seem to have fallen by the wayside of ME,ME,ME.

   And to top it off the economy sucks and our elected ‘representatives’ have sold us out on our own dime.

   And people have to wonder why anger, angst and civility is out the window?

   Try this next time:

   Now I lay me down to sleep
   I pray the Lord my soul to keep
   If I should die before I wake
   that’s one escape from the nanny state!
