Border Troubles

  1. ...and here is the complementary problem to our lack of border control.

City Hall said soldiers also arrested six local police officers in possession of large quantities of marijuana and blamed police corruption for drug cartels’ hold on Ciudad Juarez, a major narcotics smuggling point into the US.

“People have lost confidence in the police because they know the local forces have been infiltrated and act outside the law,” said Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz.

The article of from North East Mexico.  I’m about 150 miles North of North West Mexico and the Federales are not only doing the drug smuggling and such, they’re attacking and robbing American tourists from Tijuana to San Felipe.  The Mexican government has been trying to get it under control, but how successful they are is open to question.  Here’s the cherry on top:  uniformed Mexican soldiers have been reported in the California/Arizona areas near the border, SHOOTING at the U.S. Border Patrol.

The drug smuggling is a problem.  The people smuggling is a problem.  The worst problem is that Mexico City seems to be losing control of Northern Mexico.  If we don’t tighten up our Southern border a lot, were going to have worse problems than anything we’ve seen so far.  It’s kind of important to me, I’m not that far away from it.

  2. The reason it isn’t in the news is because it would damage the ‘amnesty for hispanic illegals’ agenda of the left. And of course, the fact that anything that damages their agenda gets buried, well… that’s hardly news, is it?
