  1. >Military blogs receive a fraction of the hits generated by mainstream news Web sites<

    1) These guys just have such a damn big ego, they can’t even admit that a new avenue is coming up to take over their ‘job’ since they suck at the their job.

    2) These guys are po’d because the InterNet is showing them for the lousy reporters and journalists that they have become.

From two soldiers in Iraq in 2003 (you know, during the ‘war’ in Iraq):
“They never leave their hotel in Baghdad, how can they report what is going on in Iraq or even know what is going on.” (CPT Kenric, 101st Airborne)

“There are only 5 or 6 reporters in the whole country, there is no way they can report on what is going on in the whole country.” (SGT Charles, 101st Airborne)

Of course the fact that most of the msm is suffering from BDS, means that most of what they write is slanted against the war in Iraq. And since they are also hopelessly caught up in a Vietnam era redo since that was their ‘shining’ moment of journalist greatness, it too means that their reporting is slanted.

Too bad fiction won’t be remembered in the history books. . .Which just might bring the msm down several notches since they can’t seem to get to the truth when it comes to the War in Iraq, the terrorists and the Bush Administration.

There are great milblogs out there and as far as the media hyping the ‘atrocities’ committed by American soldiers - they are far and away the best at ferretting out the discrepancies, mistakes and outright lies in the msm stories on these. Which btw, have you noticed are falling apart faster than the speed of light. . .Now Time (you know that bastion of truth and great news reporting) is under fire for problems with it’s original Haditha ‘incident’ article - No kidding.

I’ve said it before, the InterNet is going to bring the truth to light - it is the only thing ‘Mother’ Sheehan and I agree on, even if our ‘truths’ are vastly different.

  4. Richard Belzer, who plays Munch on SVU, being the world traveler and incisive wit he is, said he knows much more about what is happening in Iraq than a simple grunt since soldiers see only 30 meters of the war in any direction.

Kinda stuck on his asshole self, I’d say.

Check this out, another guy who was actually there, actually done that: http://www.patdollard.com/main.html
