Rich, there are guys who shoot the 20mm cannon as a rifle. This is a toy compared to that.
And the article is wrong. A .30-06 (not a “30-6") has about 20 lb/ft of free recoil. 10 times that is 200, not 2777. That’s nearly 140 times as much. Easy enough to find a recoil calculator (http://www.handloads.com/calc/recoil.asp) and punch in numbers; with about 250 grains of powder, this one produces about 250 lb/ft of recoil. And it comes at you fast, nearly 18fps. So it’s going to hurt bad, unless the butt is about the size of a loaf of bread and nearly as squishy. Still, no thanks. My pain limit is any recoil over 15fps; the pounds don’t matter so much, although 50 ft/lb worth will push me back a step. In the 100lb rifle, the recoil of this thing is about the same as catching a cheerleader running full speed into your arms (123lb at 6mph). But far less pleasant, I’m sure.
