"As they crashed the vehicle against the doors, both Ahmed and his passenger, Abdulla, lit and threw petrol bombs in an attempt to set their vehicle alight shouted “Allahu Akbar” [God is great.]”
I think people need to start learning how to say “But you suck” in Arabic, as kind of a counter chant.
Brilliant! The BBC should win an award; all you have to do is IGNORE the terrorists and they’ll just go away....
....you know, kinda like when they ignored Hitler in the late 1930s.....
Whoa there guys, please try to avoid using the words value and judgment in the same article as BBC, unless pointing out that the Beeb is bereft of both. Perhaps it is a mis-understanding, implying they should be called “murdering faithless bastards” ?
Grumpy - “Haneek rabbak” ought to do.
You gotta quit posting these multiple topic things - there’s too many ideas to play with!
Every word carries it’s literal meaning, it’s emotional meaning and it’s meaning within the context of the phrase or sentence where it appears. Even the BBC use of the word “militant” carries an emotional connotation that the (attempted) murdering scum, sons of diseased whores, may have so legitimacy, just as any member of the military might enjoy. Political correctness is basically a form of dishonesty. The use of euphemisms has it’s place, but to stack the deck by denying the use of the words that actually describe a person, place or thing does a disservice to everyone.
On a personal note, I notice with pleasure that one of the terrorist plotters was a degreed aeronautical engineer. Quite high falutin’. If those bombs had been designed by a Good Ol’ Boy Shade Tree Mechanic, there would have been pieces of that nightclub spread from France to Ireland. Thank G-d they were stupid enough to depend on a trained engineer!
