1. Who needs science when you can Rap and Dribble your way to fame and fortune?I hear that Snoop Dog is up for a Noble in economics for his breakthoughs on profiting from the “Girls Gone Bad” DVD Phenomena.

2. I know, Rich is being facetious...

   Who needs science?

   Snoop Dog does. Without the science that led to DVD’s he’d be pickin’ cotton. (thereby making a more positive contribution to the world, I might add.)

   Without medical science, Snoop Dog might have died of any number of now-treatable childhood diseases and not lived long enough to even pick cotton, much less produce his (c)Rap.

   There’s any number of scientists, mathematicians, philosophers (even a politician or two!) that have made my life better.

   I can’t think of a single entertainer (and in Snoop Dog’s case, I use the term loosely) or professional athlete that made my life any better.

   Prior to the (science-produced) mass media, Snoop Dog’s (c)Rap would be about workin’ on the chain gang. And nobody but his fellow ‘gang’ members (and the guards) would ever hear it.

10. Yikes, colorful typo there Rich. Popcarn fairies? Grave sense of humor? Aye, that’s the stuff ... the stuff of nightmares!

    I have been warned never to cook popcorn of any kind when the windows can’t be opened. Some of that microwave stuff reeks! Ha, I used to work in an AT&T office building that had a snack zone by the elevator door on the lowest floor. Come 4pm the entire building would stink up when somebody nuked a bag of the stuff. Vent fans, what are they?

Shotbusisfornia strikes again.  I’m sure that science lab puts too much of a burden on the teachers and takes away from the time they have to sell drugs to the kids and have sex with them.  Solution:  don’t just lower the bar, take the bar and bludgeon the smart kids into submission with it.  Get rid of the science labs and create student teacher relations labs (opium fuck dens) in the same space.  California is proof that the lobotomy was abandoned too soon.

13. While this discussion has apparently digressed a bit - I have to really wonder WTF is in the heads of the so-called adults in this decision?!? Science - if you are going to go that far - why not just close the damn school - it will be the end result anyway. No music, no PE, no recess, no art - but damn those sports programs are so necessary (it is a religion in TX).

    And thus we are now a country where Illegal Alien Criminals have more power than the Natural Born Citizens, where We The People are Ignored in passing un-Constitutional Laws and where American Idol watching (and worshipping) fools elected (with the fraudulent assistance of ACORN and the Black Panthers) their Idol in Chief to run America into the 3rd World cesspool they admire so much of such garden spots of the World as Cuba, Venezuela and of course Iran.

    Shortly after 9/11 I thought that maybe the idiots on the Left would get it - if that last plane had hit the WH/Congress, now I just wish someone would nuke DC and we could get this over and hit the reset button. [Of course terrorists and crazies out there, please wait until (and if) the Klownposse and the Idol in Chief actually return to DC to do it - otherwise it is a valuable waste of time, energy and weaponry]
