  1. Hang on, you know that President Bush has to go by the script, but when (he thinks) the mic’s off:

Bush was talking privately to British Prime Minister Tony Blair during a lunch at the Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg about an upsurge of violence in the Middle East, not realizing a microphone was recording what he said.

“I think Condi (Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice) is going to go pretty soon,” Bush said.

Blair replied: “Right, that’s all that matters, it will take some time to get that together.”

The two leaders also referred to an offer by Blair to help. Blair said Rice has “got to succeed” if she goes out to the region.

Bush replied: “What they need to do it to get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit.” Shortly afterwards Blair noticed the microphone and hastily switched it off, but not before the recording had reached news media.

  2. Also Saptano is a liberal wanker who is on his way out.  His words are not exactly representative of Benedict’s opinions.  He has already been asked to resign and will be gone by September IIRC.

Not that I think much of the RCC, but gotta be fair.  Saptano’s screech is not necessarily the opinion of the rest of the Unholy Blind.

  3. Er that was supposed to be Sodano… then again he is a total sap, so who knows maybe the original spelling wasn’t so bad after all…

  4. Just another reason for my regard for the world’s “opinion”.

The United States was formed by people who thought the lands they were leaving were crap - why the hell do we care what they think?

  7. We are in this state of affairs - not because ‘cowboy’ Bush went out warmongering - but because so many countries of the world, the UN and Clinton always sought a ‘diplomatic’ solution to terrorism. Doesn’t work with this bunch that wants world domination and a returnt to 3rd century life (for everyone that is not them)…

Glad that the ‘warmonger’ Bush is in office or we’d be fighting this garbage on US soil.

Since when does firing back after acts of war constitute ‘over reaction’?

Only in todays PC kumbyah tree hugging world.

  8. I sometimes wonder how much old fashioned hatred of the Jews has to do with the reactions of the world in this sort of thing.
