3. It’s both, Minnesota was where the original franchise went and then the Senators returned to DC as an expansion team that later went to Texas. Am I right?

   I think that was the “Eleven Walk Inning” game?

   I know they hold the record for walks in one came like about 17. Before my time but Grandpa would tell me not to pitch like Washington when I screwed things up.

   I think that was the game where they walked 11 Yankee batters in the third.

   I used to know a bunch of that stuff, but since my dad died I haven’t had that much interest. My dad and both my granddads where Uber Cub Fans....

   Do I win a prize?

5. Ric Brandt wins the prize. He is the Official Barking Moonbat Trivial Pursuit Master Of The Week and is entitled to hold the title until next weekend when we’ll have another.

   The Senators left DC in 1960 and became the Minnesota Twins. An expansion team was introduced to DC the next year and they later left for Texas and became the Texas Rangers. The question was tricky because the Senators actually left DC twice.

   Ric is also 100% correct on the September 11, 1949 game. The Senators still hold the record for most walks in an inning. The Senators pitchers walked 11 batters in a single inning (the 3rd), and three Yankees batters were walked twice in that inning. The Yankees eventually won the game, BTW. That type of pitching was par for the course in those days for the lousy Senators.

   Those unsung hero’s who answered all my annoying questions as a rug rat and yard ape. Who awarded me with those sips of beer to get me to shut up. Well Dad, Grandpa’s Frank and Hienrich I made it.
