Let’s see how do you twist taking a >an Iraqi-sponsored bus trip to Baghdad< away from >she was not licensed to engage in “travel transactions"in Iraq< That sounds like a chargable offense and as pointed out here, she could have (and should have) been charged with treason and sedition. She should consider herself lucky that she lives in the US and isn’t being shot in front of some wall somewhere, and consider the fine, a blessing.

   Typical moonbat - what I do and say are important and the truth - everyone else is wrong and evil.

   Kinda surprizing (but not unexpected) is that she left before the actual shooting started. I guess she decided that the smartest thing to do was make the ‘symbolic’ gesture [and live to protest again] rather than actually being a dead human shield.

   Thank God there are 2643 young Americans who aren’t that damn cowardly when it comes to being America’s Human Shield and Defenders.

5. What a coward!  Sure, she’ll serve as a “human shield” in the name of peace...until everything starts getting real.  Typical of alot of people in the U.S. nowadays...they’re down with the “cause” until it requires some REAL contribution or sacrifice.

6. Apparently the U.S. doesn’t charge ANYONE with treason any more, Archangel. Even John ("Taliban Johnny") Walker-Lindt wasn’t charged with treason...and all he got for fighting against U.S. Troops was 20 years!

   What’s wrong with THAT picture?!

   The question I have concerning Judy Karpova is how’s this woman called a Human Shield” when she bailed out 10 days before the fighting started?

   She’s more like a “would-be Human Shield,” that is, if she weren’t such a complete asshat.

   She’s appealing a $6700 fine?!

   I’d say great, how’s ten to fifteen years in a federal pen sound?

   It’d sure sound a lot better to me.
