Killings of Opposition Supporters in Venezuela(Washington, D.C., February 19, 2003) - The government of Hugo Chávez should carry out a thorough and impartial investigation into the abduction and murder of four opposition supporters whose bodies were found on February 16 and 17, Human Rights Watch said today.

Venezuela: Court Orders Trial of Civil Society Leaders
(Washington, July 8, 2005) — In ordering the trial of four civil society leaders on dubious charges of treason, a Venezuelan court has assented to government persecution of political opponents, Human Rights Watch said today.

Venezuela: Media Law Undercuts Freedom of Expression
(Washington, November 24, 2004) — A draft law to increase state control of television and radio broadcasting in Venezuela threatens to undermine the media’s freedom of expression, Human Rights Watch said today. If I were you, Cindy, I’d seek Venezuelan citizenship and start protesting. I’d pay big bucks to see that!

  3. The answer to the rhetorical question lies in the first sentence of the item: ”...unleashed more cricism[sic] toward President Bush...”. That’s all ya gotta do to have the MSM lap it up and regurgitate it.

When certain people do it it’s called “speaking truth to power”. Unfortunately the less truth the more likely that phrase is to be used.

Sorry, I’m sometimes tempted to answer rhetorical questions. My only One of my flaws qualities.

Damn, whatta cool name!!  Mister Danger!  I wish I could have a cool name like that!

Don’t be too upset with Hugo. He’s just suffering from Sheehan withdrawal.  He’s just aching for more of her sweet, sweet stuff.

  11. Comeon, can’t we ‘sponsor’ whatever the anti-chavez faction is and get a little uprising going??? Seems to me that would work. And besides before the msm could ferret out the facts (since journalists don’t do research anymore) we could have a lib scandal all fleshed out to offset it.

I just happen to think that either Ahmadinejad or Jong are greater threats - but notice that the msm has dropped the korea thing in favor of Iran. I guess the msm is suffering from ADD, no wonder it’s crap.

Ever notice too that when the dems mention some world issue President Bush has commented on, it’s a ‘climate of fear’ and ‘fearmongering.’ But when they mention it - it is in the context of needing to take even more of our money to ‘protect’ us??? Thank you, I’ll keep my money and protect myself with a gun. You dummyrats are on your own. I don’t fear the world, I just know I prefer living in America.

[omg, 3 issues in one post, I’m showing a little of my own ADD - guess it does take one to know one red face
