Band Of Brothers Unit Reactivated

 

1. Oooooh-I just got the chills reading that.
   As many of you know I’m a ‘Band of Brothers’ devotee.
   I’ve seen the miniseries at least five times, have read the book more than that and own a copy of ‘Biggest Brother’-a biography of Major Richard Winters.
   Both Mike and I give it 4 stars.
   What a great day for our great nation, reactivating E Company!!!
   On topic: Major Winters was recommended for the CMOH for his actions on D. Day but instead received the DSC because only one ‘Medal’ was being given out per unit.
   By all accounts Major Winters actions deserved a CMOH all those years ago and now there’s a push to correct that mistake.
   There’s a petition out to try to convince congress and the President to award Major Richard Winters with the CMOH for his actions at Normandy.
   I’ll post the link as soon as I look it up.
   Dick Winters is almost 89.
   Let’s help get Major Winters the honor he so greatly deserves BEFORE he makes the ‘last jump’!
