I am finally getting into the internet buying thingy - books - yeah ok, kitchen gadgets & stuff - again ok - but now I go find reviews for some of the ‘too good to be true’ stuff - and I’ve saved a bundle. We fixed the leak in the basement wall - the same way that the ‘real fix-it’ guys who would charge us a grand or more would do - simply bought the same stuff they use. Now if it would stop raining - we could finally seal it up.
I’ve bought GF all purpose flour off the Net - great it was like being back into real baking - compared to what they sell in the grocery. Now the stores are starting to take off and actually stock the good stuff.
I hate batteries and most especially cell phone batteries, it seems as if they last a week now days. I need a new one - but since I hate my cell phone anyway (’The telephone has no Constitutional right to be answered’ - Justice Dan Snow (Walter Matthau) in First Monday in October) - and we have no fun money anymore - I’ll probably let it go until it dies and cancel the account.
Around your neck of the woods, there’s a place called… I think… Battery Warehouse?
Might want to check ‘em out to see if they’re like what I have in my area: A small business that specializes in batteries of all makes for commercial and industrial use. You can literally get _anything_ in terms of batteries from such a shop, and at a decent price, and if they’re the same type of shop I have, they can spot-weld and heat-shrink custom battery packs of ANY type for you, on demand.
(Note, I’m not talking about mall-based battery store fronts. Forget those, the markup is insane.)
