Bailout Bucks, One Way Or The Other

 

1. Every one knows it’s a bad idea to let this many jobs be displaced, Question is can the Big 3 actually be saved with some money, or will it be a a lot more money later and still be left wondering if Detroit is going to pull through.  Many folks have to be wondering why company’s like Honda have not had this problem, they do produce cars (or at least assemble)here in the states.  I don’t want to see the loss of workers myself but wonder if this is what it will take to restructure the industry to make better cars than Honda, if that can be done.  The other issue of course is the pay and benefits to union workers, which is a bigger burden to the company’s than the quality of the vehicles themselves.  This appears to be a catch 22 here, the high costs of labor pushes company’s to seek cheaper labor from outside the USA (and many imports are outselling domestics) I don’t see how we can solve one problem without solving the other.  If we did not import any cars, Detroit’s big three would not be in this situation, on the other hand, if labor costs where not so high, American built vehicles would be much more affordable.  Most folks want the best product they can get for their money, and this is what appears to be the bottom line for Detroit’s failures, the consumers have spoken through their purchases.

2. I would like to know why it was OK to let the Textile Industry, the Garment Industry, the Shoe Industry and the Electronics Manufacturers, as well as many other Industries go Bust in the US and then move offshore?

   Why MUST we Nationalize the US Auto Industry AND Save the World’s Auto Industry with US Tax dollars?

   I am a Union worker and as my Father told me,
   “Unions are necessary to ensure that Employers exercise RIGHTOUS dominion over their employees.”

   Companies are Not Unionized, Because the Employer makes sure that his Employees are Happy.

   Unions would dissapear overnight if this were the case everywhere.

3. Anybody want to guess which democrat senators failed to vote yes for this pig along with the Repubs? Briiing!! Times up. Kennedy,Reid,Kerry to name just 3. I know Reid had to for tech reasons but KERRY and Kennedy? Kerry was playing chatty kathy somewhere and wasnt there to vote. I guess Kennedy didnt have anyone to roll his fat ass to the floor. As for the other 5,Well,Hmmm,I just dont know.Must have been infected with the Rino virus,,,Hehe.
