  1. I’ve been a registered Adult Scout Leader for almost 10 years.  We work so hard to provide a good program that will reinforce the moral and patriotic values that benefit all of our citizens and the World at large.

We acknowledge the existance of a Supreme Power and welcome all members regardless of their religious beliefs—as long as God, in the Hindu, Moslem, Christian, Jewish, etc form is somehow involved.

We ask no questions regardling sexuality—we feel that Scouting is not the venue for such.

We teach our Scouts to be accepting and tolerant of all peoples and beliefs—even non-Believers and those who wish to harm us (awfully Christian of us, huh).

With all of this, why are there still those who wish to destroy us?

If you don’t believe in what we do, don’t join!  We don’t harrass you, why are you harrassing us?

I’m just not smart enough to understand.

  2. Comrades,

Time to step back to the days of our fore-fathers and take a little trip to the 9th district court. A few barrels of tar and a couple of feather pillows ought to be all the fashion for these judges, clothing them in robes more suited to their social level.

No physical harm, no threats, no intimidations or any such nonsense, just a “ride around the block on a rail” to the strains of many citizen’s hoots and hollers, and a “suit of white feathers” to remind them of the cowards that they are.

Carried to it’s irrational conclusion, this judgement means that America itself, is a Religion! gasp! since our motto claims “In God We Trust”.... so does that mean the government can’t have any dealings with the public? And therefor, should we conclude that, since the justices are all working for the government, that we can now be free to ignore them? Sounds good to me!

    Respects to all,

    Gwedd

  3. I don’t get it. Of all the groups to target, why hit the Boy Scouts first? Further, if these idiots truly are “agnostics,” why the bug up their asses? They define themselves as being unable to ascertain whether a Higher Being exists; they don’t deny it’s possible, or declare the idea bullshit, as an atheist would. So why the hell file the lawsuit in the first place if they admit they don’t know one way or the other?

And whichever members of the San Diego government who went along with forking over close to a million bucks to “settle” this ACLU shakedown should immediately face a recall election and have their asses tossed in the gutter.

  4. This is the reason CA is bankrupt (financially and morally) they have been selling out, settling out and being sued to death by the ACLU. And the stupid judges and city councils are going along with it.

Well when the only people out there are illegals and the ACLU - who the hell are they going to sue to get money?

Push the damn taxes high enough and even the hollyweird types will flee - gotta keep as much of their ‘hard earned’ millions as possible.

Both of my son’s were Boy Scouts and both daughters were Girl Scouts. I don’t remember any big deal made by any den, pack, troop or Leader about religion. Although my oldest did earn his religion medal (it took me 6 months to harness those little hooligans to complete the program - then I did another stupid thing and became the girl scout cookie mom and I finally learned my lesson zipper

But you know it was good for all of us - I learned that there were worse children than mine and they learned a lot, I never had the energy or imagination to teach them.

  5. The ninth circus strikes again. I cannot believe some of the absolut shit that those asshats buy into. No wonder that it is the most overturned circuit court.

BTW, the Anti Christian Liberals Union also attacked a cross at a memorial on Mt. Soledad overlooking San Deigo and have been working for fifteen years to have it taken down. This in spite of a voter referendum to keep it.

I did a little time in the Boy Scouts myself, until I couldn’t get a ride to meetings any more. Fuck you, Mr. Hansen, wherever you are.

  6. Heh, I guess I am also one of the high priests too. Secret left-handed handshake and everything. I am double-plus special because I am in the OA, too. I wonder what that makes me...a bishop?

  7. The BSA has been sucking wind for 20 years now. I’m shocked that it’s still around. I guess it’s a testament to how powerless the American Left actually is.

  8. It’s a damn funny religion, then.

I was an Asst. Scoutmaster at the Jewish Community Center sponsored troop. (They call me OINK-Berg-Stein)** So, at the regional conference someone gave an “Inter-Denominational” prayer, ending with “in Christ our Lord, Amen”. Should have been an Interfaith prayer. We bitched, including me a good Catholic Boy. The regional officials gave us responsibility for selecting and saying prayers.

Obviously, The Scouts created a code of honor and right-behavior, not a religion

** The Kosher issue was a real can of worms

  9. There’s the problem, Oink-berg. “The Scouts created a code of honor and right-behavior...”. Can’t have any of that “right behavior”, never mind “honor”. It’s just not a part of the nomenclatura thought process or theory.

  10. Baden-Powell designed it to appeal to the slum youth who never saw nature.  Scouting came to America via William Boyce who was so impressed by an unknown English Scout who helped him find his way on a foggy night in London, and then refused a tip, because Boy Scouts don’t accept money for good deeds.

Baden-Powell’s tombstone has on it a circle with a dot in the middle, a trail-marking meaning “gone home”.

  11. One of these days I’m going to have to take the time to set up a listing file...so I can keep track of all of the people I think need slaughtering. These folks (not to mention every name of everyone who is in the ACLU) will certainly be on it.

I keep having this fantasy about walking into an ACLU convention with a tactical nuke and screaming “I am John Brown, you children of Satan”!!! Boom!

Wayne is having a manic day.

    BS reservoir overloaded.

  12. Back in Rhode Island I was a Cub Scout Leader - besides my own 2 sons I had a group of so-called Narragansett Indian boys (truth be known they were more black than Indian due to many years of inter-marriage but who was I to question their heritage)..............Anyway, these little “Indian” boys could not even afford uniforms - my husband & I provided whatever these boys needed to succeed in Cub Scouts & we had great times.............We moved a few years later & my boys became Boy Scouts in a local group - I was the instructor for the First Aid badge due to my nursing experience - was able to get our local EMS/Fire Dept to assist..............Alas my son’s lost interest once they got to high school - I regret the fact that they didn’t go on to become Eagle Scouts - I always thought that Eagle Scout would be a highligh of a youngsters Boy Scout career!!!!!!!!!

  13. Ah, Dottie, those were the good old days. Thanks for sharing the memories long gone and far away. Maybe if we all stick to our guns, they may someday return.

  14. I was in Girl Scouts-and Alex is a Boy Scout.
    He loves it-usually.
I love it because it give my son a chance to be a BOY-unihibited by feministic pc bullshit!
The HELL with the 9th Circuit! wtf

  15. Barb: True. One flaw in the otherwise Flawless Feminine Nature is the urge to rescue.  As I gently nudged my wife aside, I explained that Boy Scouting is a place to learn by doing & screwing up. And the cost isn’t too high: a cold, wet night or sore feet.
