2. Actually, it was supposed to have been a North Korean submarine destroying a Hyundai produced rig, from what I heard. It’s all bullshit. There is still entirely too much wrong with the whole situation. There are too many safety features that have been developed to prevent EXACTLY this. It was some kind of set-up, it’s just too convenient for someone we might mention but won’t.

3. I don’t see any difference between the inherent dangers of off-shore drilling and coal-mining. Life is inherently dangerous.

   Is it worth it?

   Free markets will give the answer.

   Is it worth the miniscule threat to life for me to be a coal-miner, an off-shore oil-rigger, etc? If the answer is ‘no’, a free market will reflect that; either through higher pay, or government coercion. And if the government is involved, it’s not a free market.

   Am I at anymore threat than our military? No, but then, I don’t live in Arizona.
