OCM the Australian immigration rules are really strict. No lottery out there, unlike the US. I was told by a friend who lived in Oz about problems they had with illegals. They had a detention centre full of Afghans in the desert. They Afghans wanted out so they climbed on the roof and threatened to jump. All the Aussies did was strip the mattresses and lay them around the centre then told the bums “Go ahead and jump!”
I believe this sort of thing has been happening for some time in Australia. Mark Steyn wrote an article some time ago about problems in Australia. Although in general their economy is doing really well (I believe they no longer run a budget deficit) there are areas of high unemployment and there have been clashes between Australians and newly arrived Middle eastern immigrants.
It worries me that this sort of thing will become more widespread. In Britain so far there have only been sporadic outbreaks. The economy is still relatively robust. However should there be a downturn then I feel we will face similar problems on a much larger scale. The government here has not tackled illegal immigration and there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of illegals. Things could get very ugly.
If the government won’t protect the people, then the people rise up to protect themselves.
I read about “...shots fired.”
I thought the Australian government seized all privately-owned firearms. Who fired the shots, Australians or members of the Religion of Peace?
Has the culture war begun?
