As Usual

 

1. My baby graduated yesterday - it was awesome - however after a week of pleasant temps - it was like 50 with a blustering wind that made it feel like 30 and when they started their walk through campus (small private college - only about 180 total grads) - it started to sprinkle. It did stop during the graduation which made the outside meet & greet - somewhat tolerable. And the downpour started just as we were leaving town. Dinner with the aunts (hers, my hubbys sisters) was great (ate too much) and today is kick back and recover from a week of the m-i-l being here. In the past she has been awesome, but since she retired she is becoming too addicted to the alphabet network banal & shallow tv - and thus is regressing into a shallow and banal person. It is so hard to watch but horrid to put up with all day/evening with no escape possible. I can’t figure any other option except the worse one of she is losing her mind.

   Oh and (now we have had the gun case and our collection of (soon to be stolen rifles)) for a number of years now - she went off on all the guns and the fact we carry - my response was - Because we can. She even tried the guilt card - but what about all the grandchildren? Wish I remembered to be able to answer - Well they all have guns too! It almost was too much to bear - I do not like at all defending who I am and how I live to family - it makes me very angry. And it almost ruined the awesomeness of the day.

   The baby daughter sits for her Law Enforcement exam on Wed - her second step in becoming - Secret Service - I would love to be a fly on the wall when ‘grandma’ goes on & on about that one. She at least has had the decency not to do it to us or her yet. But I suspect it is coming in the near future.

2. Soon to be stolen?? If so, send them over to me ahead of time. They’ll have plenty of company, and manage to not get stolen instead.

   Yeah, it sucks having a liberal as a relative. Didn’t you just love how clownposse leader Bloomberg used teh “truck bomber” case to push for more gun control? What a tool.

3. Drew, I always imply a recent threat or possible future threat in a public forum - so that when the ‘revenuers’ or whatever The Won calls them comes knocking for our guns - We can answer hey they were stolen, oops our bad, we forgot to file a police report.

   Yes I agree - our m-i-l used to be a little bad about it - but now she is downright in our face - I guess it is the difference between working and just sitting around with nothing to do.

   We all know that liberals use all of these ‘incidents’ to try to ban guns - even though the stats on the states with conceal carry show the exact opposite to be the real ‘crime control’. And this little ‘incident’ showed exactly that the TSA experiment is a supreme failure - but they will figure out a way to make it even worse and more inconvenient for white, the elderly, babies and rich people who fly as they deserve to be hassled and put into their place any time and any place someone who has ‘compassion’ for the downtrodden can.
