2. This is one of my big personal reasons to be against gun control.

   I live on the US Gulf Coast, and would love to do some SERIOUS sailing. When my finances allow for it, I fully intend to buy a sailboat capable of allowing me to take trips to anywhere in the Caribbean, if not allow me to sail anywhere in the world. And while I can’t blame the Coast Guard, the FBI or anyone else for being concerned and watchful of me when I’m in port, nonetheless I damn well want to have AT LEAST a 40mm grenade launcher on board, preferably augmented by at least one assault rifle per passenger/crew, any time I am in international waters. To do otherwise is to accept that having to choose between drowning and kidnapping is a situation you’d be comfortable with.

3. At least the US navy is carrying on it’s tradition of dealing with these pirate scum. Once upon a time it was the Barbary pirates, now it’s Somalis. Same shit, different century. Oh and funny how it’s the old “religion of peace” that seem to be behind it.
