  1. 70-year-old solution:

    Snap-on gunstock for a .45

  2. We already have the cartridge they need-the 45 auto. All we need is a modern carbine to fire it.

  3. Memory tells me a German (Austrian? Swiss?) arms mfg. introduced something that would fill the bill a few years ago.  Caliber was under .22 with a muzzle velocity up in G-d’s country.  The needle like slugs would easily penetrate body armor.  The whole thing was only slightly larger than a normal pistol and had a (I think) shoulder stock.  I haven’t time for the research just now, does anyone else have a better memory than I do?

  4. It’s the FN FiveSeven

  6. Thank you Single Stack.  Does anyone know any reason that the FN FiveSeven wouldn’t do what the Army needs it to do?  Duh.  It’s on the shelf.  I finally took a look, they’ve got some nice bull pup designs for the cartridge too.

Ah!  That’s got to be it!  We haven’t spent enough money on studies and development yet!

  7. Why not a kel-tec Sub-2k style weapon in 223?

The KT folds at the breech into a package ~16x~3x~6 and fits in a standard briefcase with no problem (don’t ask ow I know...)

Deploys in under a second if mag is in and bolt is locked to rear - click/slap/rock&roll.

Further, the Sub-2000 comes in 9mm or .40 and interchanges mags with a number of pistols, so it would be easy to make a bunch that took the Beretta mags if that’s what they wanted…
