Army Medic Awarded Silver Star

 

1. Doing the ordinary thing in extraordinary circumstances.  In this case, doing her job like she’s been trained.  All she did was take care of some injured soldiers and get them to a place to be treated.  While some pack of loonies were trying to kill them all.  I’m glad I can type this, I don’t think my voice is steady enough to talk right now.

   Not only a Silver Star, but another winner of the “Uncle Archie Stands You to a Beer (or whatever) Award”.

   Yep, she did damn well, just doing her job. I’m very proud we’ve got a whole army of kids just like her.

3. I find it more than a little ironic that this 19 year old Texas girl is more of a man than most of the men in Berkeley.
