Good for him! Not knowing the state or local laws of Ky., i wonder what the consequences of his actions, if any, will be.
Makes me grit my teeth and “grrrr” when i hear folks whine to a police officer “...but it’s YOUR duty to protect me.”
New User, Hi Guys.
If you cross the threshold of someone’s home in Kentucky during a burglary, especially an armed one, you are fair game. This old fella will do no jail time, nor will he be prosecuted. Just as a geography tip, this is roughly the same area of the state that McCreary county is in. McCreary County has the courthouse that had the display of the ten commandments; I would imagine if McCreary County government chose to do so, they could keep them up and get away with it, given the help of a few normal (6’5") Kentucky State Troopers. ACLU Who? Which Supreme Court? The Kentucky Supreme Court? That’s the only one we know about!
Hope your day is going/went better Captain.
Welcome KentuckyJoe!
My husband and I are originally from Louisville KY, we’re in Brunswick ME now (he’s a Navy aircraft mechanic)
As for the Ten Commandments, I graduated HS in ‘95 (Spencer Co KY to be exact) and I remember my typing classroom having a framed poster size copy on the wall.
I used to live in Florence, Ky. (Boone county). Nice bunch of people. They just don’t put up with any
. I miss living in Ky.
I was born in Lexington KY, and lived my first 8 1/2 years there.
Currently stuck in one of the “blue” states in the Upper Northeastern
Peoples’ Republic of Absurdistan (AKA New England)
Five thumbs up for his actions!

Five more thumbs from me. Nice to see justice actually done for once.
I don’t know why he let them get out of his house alive, must be getting to be more of a shaky shot in his old age.
