Archaeologists have discovered a lost city carved into the Andes Mountains.

  1. That’s pretty cool. But it looks like the local graffiti boys found the place first and tagged it good.

    So beautiful they should be taken to the Sun Temple (and have their hearts cut out)? Now that’s a pick up line that probably won’t work very well.

  2. This gives me hope Peiper.

    I’ve always wanted to be an archeologist. Just couldn’t figure how to support a wife doing that. grin

    But, spending my ‘retirement’ years assisting at archeological digs actually sounds like fun.

    Especially when such a discovery is made.

  3. Chris, the very same here but it never worked out that way.

    The closest I ever came was as a spectator here in Winchester while on a visit many years ago.
    The city was putting in new buildings (and ruining a wonderful old city), and during construction another and unknown group of buildings was found. It’s been so long, I don’t know what period but old for sure.  So, construction was halted for a period of time while archaeologists dug through the find uncovering stuff.  Since it was in the very center of the town, people were allowed to look in.
