Ehh the lady complaining is just upset cause there aren’t any men available for her…
*looks at above comment* Yeah. I’ve been around the Navy wayyyyy too long…
Maybe the men will say yes - I say NOT.........
Uhhh I wouldn’t know OCM *L* I’m not Navy, just married to a sailor…
Seems like leisure and entertainment to me. I don’t bitch about the coupons that I don’t or can’t use in magazines or circulars. It’s time she built a bridge and got over it.
Half an hour, eh? Does that mean they’d allow [insert name here] to come back a few times to get all his time?
Couldn’t resist, though I probably should have.
Note that I didn’t aim it at anyone in particular. My only defense is humor.
Lady sailors do whatever they want to do on liberty. Just like the gentlemen sailors. That’s why it’s called liberty. Stay out of jail and be back on time and nobody cares what you do.
I will admit that I’m guessing here as there weren’t any women at sea when I was in the Navy.
You can see the zoo or be part of a zoo. Your choice. I’ve done both. Being is a lot more fun.
I’ll bet you’ve been part of a zoo more than once, too, OCM.
zoo = 1. zoological park
zoo = 2. Saloon with a variety of wild creatures milling around making a lot of noise, sucking down beverages, dancing and generally making fools of themselves in a manner they’d never dream of if their mamas were there to see them.
Completely OT:
Speaking of Mamas, I’m going to go visit mine. She’s about 400 miles away, so I’m going to take about a week’s basket leave and probably won’t be posting much, if at all. Maybe I’ll get on my brother’s machine, maybe not. I just want you to know that I’m not going over the hill. I’ll be back.
Thanks, OCM. I know you’ll keep things hoppin’ here.
Have a good trip, Stin..........which way are you going 400 miles - N,S,E or W?
Thanks, Dottie. I’m going to Buffalo, NY from a small town north of Dayton, Ohio. It’s interstate all the way so it should be a breeze.
It’s been a while but I hope to find the grooves I wore in the road years ago when I made the trip a couple of times a month.
Ah, Stin, have been along that route many times during the first few years we moved to Missouri - we would drive back to New England that way - We would take Route 70 to Route 75 in Dayton up to Route 80/90 in Toledo...........I remember viewing Lake Erie along Route 90, then Lake Ontario from the Rochester area.........Upstate New York is a beautiful area............One year we stopped in Cooperstown so we could visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, then we would travel the N.Y. throughway to the Mass. turnpike..........I have flown home on occasion over the Fingerlakes in the fall with absolutely gorgeous views of the foliage from the airplane..........
When I was first married, my husband & I went to Niagra Falls - my remembered impression of the Buffalo area was miles & miles of electricaL power lines - not the most scenic sight to Niagra Falls..........Did you grow up in the Buffalo area? Snow, snow, snow in the wintertime!!!!!!!!
