  1. Typical! Inconvinience the law-abilding and let the damned thugs run rampant. If the twits would pay more attention to who is getting IN, and forget about the leaving. How can some one leaving the country be a risk to GB?
    Same old crap.

  2. Can anyone say, “May Ve See Your Papers Please?”

  3. Way to go UK. You are now moving beyond mere Socialism. You’re becoming Nazis. At least commies. No free speech, no right to arms, no more free movement, a total welfare state, taxed out the wazoo, religion moral values and traditions destroyed, Big Brother with his spycams on every damn corner, and more idiotic laws than can be imagined. Plus it’s the new national hobby to spy on each other and rat each other out, from private conversations that might be offensive or racist, to the contents of your garbage cans, and whether they were put to the curb at the proper time or not. You even pay your enemies to come and live in your country so that they can spread their hate ever faster.

CBullit is spot-on. And the pussies who live there will only cry out for stronger chains to bind them. More government! More benefits! Less choice! Less freedom!

When Britain first, at heaven’s command,
Arose from out the azure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sang this strain:

    Rule Britania!
In Britannia rule the waves. you’re a slave.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves. chained by regulation, cradle to grave.

I’d cry for you, I really would. But you did it to yourselves.

  4. Given the general incompetence the British government has shown with respect to data security I would be quite concerned every time I went on holiday. The criminals will have access to your travel plans and plan their break ins accordingly.

Len checking people going out was actually quite useful. It was the last Tory government who stopped outbound controls at seaports and Labour stopped them altogether. Quite often we would catch people who had come as visitors (allowed up to six months as a visitor!) they had then over stayed (basically working) and we would stamp their passport to show that we had caught them. These people quite frequently intended to come back and getting caught stuffed them. We also caught people who were abusing their visas. These days it is also quite good to track people who are wanted by the police.

Drew it is quite alarming the growth in the surveillance society. The thing is from a distance you can see it, but when it is introduced gradually it is like the frog in boiling water. By the time he realises where he is it’s too late. The socialists latest control freak tax wheeze is to reduce the speed limit on non freeway style roads from 60mph to 50mph. They plan to do this with speed cameras that log vehicles between two points and calculate their average speed. However I do sense a backlash developing against all this control freakery. The man on the street is reaching boiling point and I recommend you keep a close eye on the upcoming elections in June. These are for the EU parliament and for local councils. I predict a big surge for anti EU and other non mainstream parties.

  5. Ok Lyndon, let’s watch how it goes. My prediction is that they WILL “go gentle into that <strike>good</gentle> dark night”. I think they’ve lost the will to be a nation. I think they’ve lost the will to even be a PEOPLE. I think they WANT to be a diverse, PC, undifferentiated, soulless group of slaves. I can see no other reason for the past decade of BS other than some form of national suicide.

You know I want to be wrong on this one. But I’m just following the trend I’ve been seeing.

  6. </strike>Do these draconian regulations also apply to travelers going to the UK? If they do, Fuck ‘em!

    Fixed the strike

  7. Wow, how technologically advanced - the North Koreans must be envious of a system that allows its citizens to self-report their movements via the Internet.  Beats having secret policemen try to shadow everybody!

  8. Macker they have a similar computer system for inwards travellers to that used by the US, but I don’t know how long the records are kept for. They tend to be a bit sensitive about this. The US actually has a just as draconian a system for people planning visits to the US

You have to get prior approval form the State Dept. before travel now by airline or cruise ship. It has put a lot of people off, but I suppose it does get around the problems of “profiling”

  9. I bet the Pakistanis, Arabs, and other immigrants are not subject to it because it would violate their rights.  Only white Anglosaxon protestants need to be monitored in case they do something racially insensitive.
