  1. Hide in a dark corner, wait for them to pass, then swing that leg...er, club with all you got.  Then wait for the police to come arrest you for daring to attack an intruder in your own home.

  2. I’ll stick with my Colt 1911,but that looks kind of cool.

  3. Make the leg a stun gun, make that table top oval shaped, larger, and out of body armor composite material and you might have something viable…

  4. Mother Sheehan must love this - as this is what she desires for America - picking up a rolling pin to defend home and hearth but only if the cause is ‘right’.

I guess I missed her point (and many liberal’s) as to what race/culture/color/group/class/whatever is worth/right to defend/fight for. As she/they do not care about their own citizens (9/11) nor the innocent Iraqis nor (well the list is way too long to go on). Such utter garbage - all a way for Animal Farm, 1984, Brave New World, and so on takeover of the World.

Never forget Charleton Heston’s famous quote - From my cold, dead hands!

  5. That looks highly impractical - who the heck has time to unscrew the thing when someone’s in their house.  Gimme a .44 magnum and some hollowpoints any day.  Hell, even a proper sword is more effective than that ... that ... gimmicky contraption.

  6. why not have a metal leg instead of wooden? and come on top as shield.. crazy.. we aren’t in the middle ages… I’d rather just keep a large Machete under the pillow if I was in such a crazy place that thought they’d make things safer by outlawing guns.. sure worked in DC didnt it?

  7. Ah, but the machete is probably illegal in UK. They have Knife Control over there now too. I’ve seen ads for this kind of “table” before. The thing is only loosely pinned together, not screwed in, so it comes apart quickly. The top converts to a buckler - a small shield - that won’t do jack against a gun but will deflect a knife or a club.

I guess the idea is to have weapons that don’t appear to be weapons to do an end run arond the laws. Me, I’d keep some sporting equipment around - a cricket bat makes a superb club and its the closest thing to a wooden broadsword out there. But I’d carve mine out of stout English oak, not the softer willow they’re usually made of.
