1. This is a perfect description of the inevitable disaster inherent in the Left’s “The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend” wartime creed, which I’ve argued countless times at liberal blogs to no avail.

2. I saw the AP article in today’s paper that in Afghanistan a man is on trial for the capital offense of converting from islam to Christianity. That’s “free, democratic” Afghanistan, where US policy had the wisdom to let the people write their own constitution, which included the law that this guy is charged with. He chose another religion so he must be put to death. Absolute prehistoric insanity; I don’t feel that bunch is advanced enough to even be barbarians. And in Iran it’s even worse???
