3. Can’t speak - jaw on floor.

   Isn’t there enough trouble with “over zealous” cops already, when you’re selecting cops only from the cleanest individuals available?

   What are you going to get when someone who’s had trouble with “ethical challenges” in his past?  I’ll grant that not all crimes are serious and some things have been made criminal that shouldn’t be, BUT when you’re looking for the morally straightest and brightest possible individuals to be cops, you want guys who have followed (or were smart enough to not get caught) the law. 

   Either way, hiring guys with criminal records to be cops is bad policy.  Either they have a taint, no matter how small, or they were too dumb to get away with it.  I want better cops than that.  Stupid and ethically challenged is a bad combination.

4. The “Met” was accused a few years back of “institutionalised racism” by an inquiry into the murder of (Saint) Stephen Lawrence by a gang of white racists. Even since then they have been on the back foot trying to clear their name. The police in the UK like many other institutions are infested with Common Purpose drones. In the past the joke was that in order to get on as a policeman you had to be a freemason and I don’t doubt that there was a lot of truth in that. However they tended to be people with right of centre views. Common Purpose is the polar opposite and they tend to promote like minded folk to positions of power. These people dont have our best interests at heart. This is just another example of their undermining our institutions.

5. Oh and to add insult to injury we now learn that at least a million crimes have gone unreported in the past year. They continually insult our intelligence with bogus “crime is going down” stats but the reality is it has been going up year after year.
