Another Reason To Hate PBS

 

1. Maryland Public Television said it will not air the program tomorrow but might show it later, Newsday reported.

   “We really have delineated children’s television as a safe harbor for families,” Maryland Public Television spokesman Larry Hoffman told the paper. “But we also realize we have a commitment to tolerance. It’s a tough decision.”

   This just pisses me off. Larry Hoffman’s comment demonstrates that “Postcards from Buster” is other than “safe harbor” childrens television.

   Armed with my trusty “Redneck to Elitist Speak Translator”, I came up with the following: Larry Hoffman told the paper “ In order to bring forth the Glorious Planetary Socialist State we must first destroy America. The First Step in removing America in our march towards Utopia is to undermine the existing moral values of the Jesuslanders. Now then, while we of the Elite recognize that Bung-Holing Buster is not appropriate television for anyone (Marx only knows my children will not be allowed to watch it), we are going to show it anyway as it is an important part of The First Step process. I can not begin to tell you how important it is to our goals, to indoctrinate Jesuslander youth as young as possible, and if Jesuslander parents don’t like it, well screw’em.”

   Hey Larry, From a Jesuslander Redneck Parent - You chittering prarie dog, scurry back into your dark safe place before the big bad hawk nails your ass!!

2. I can remember back when I was a child. I would look foward to coming home in the afternoon from pre-school. Coming home to Mr. Rogers and Sesimi street. Now what the fuck is our world coming too. What the hell are my kids going to come home to? I sure as hell will not let them watch some gay cartoon. Bring back the old shows. They may be old, but they are a hell of a lot better than some of the shit that is on the air today.
