Another MSM Unexpected Result

  1. I have mixed feelings on this. My constituency had Nigel Farage as a candidate and as I despise the EU and all it stands for I voted for him. The bookies all had him down as odds on favourite but he lost by 2000 votes. This is a bad result for the campaign to get out of the EU and bad for the people of Thanet which is just as deprived as many of the deprived areas in the North of England.

Now I don’t really get excited by conspiracy theories, but it certainly suited Cameron to have Farage marginalised here are the most recent declaration times for the Thanet seat....

    2015: 10.30am
    2010: 3:17am
    2005: 4:44am
    2001: 3:33am
    1997: 3:12am........hmmm

Strikes me as rather odd even considering the larger turnout. The Tory newspapers and the left wing media like the BBC, Gruaniad and the rest did everything they could to damage UKIP. Though interestingly at the local level UKIP in Thanet destroyed Labour and the Greens and have a massive majority of local councillors so this was a great result.

I console myself with the fact that the Liberals were destroyed, Labour were in my view terminally damaged and the Scottish national socialist have won a hollow victory. They can bluster all they like, but the fact remains that the idea of having Chavez style socialism in Scotland as the tail wagging the Labour dog in England frightened enough people to switch to Conservative. Some major scalps were taken on the night. The most amusing was the half-wit Ed Balls. If this nincompoop had been in control of the Treasury it would have been horrendous.

Something to amuse you, though it does need some context. A number of years ago Norway beat England at football. The Norwegian commentator was unable to contain his excitement and this is the result....

The right wing newspaper the Sun made this spoof....

I watched some of the coverage on BBC. When the exit polls came out it was like someone had died. They couldn’t believe it. They still can’t. In 1997 when the scumbag Blair won the halls of the BBC were littered with champagne bottles. I bet the champagne went back unopened this time.

So in retrospect the Tories won and conceivably now they can ram through the boundary changes to take away Labour’s gerrymandered existing setup where Labour can get a majority of MPs whilst getting substantially less votes. The Liberals were supposed to have supported these changes in the last Parliament but reneged on the deal. I bet the taste of defeat is extremely bitter serves the two faced bastards right.

It remains to be seen how things turn out. I don’t trust Cameron on Europe. Like most of these social democrat bed wetters. They only pretend to stand up to the EU, they are hell bent on a United States of Europe. No matter what the cost.  I don’t trust him on Scotland either. If he has any balls he will tell them to bog off. What he should do is give them the “freeeedumb” they aspire too with full fiscal autonomy. Once we shut off the English welfare spigot it will be Venezuela all over again. In a few years they will be begging us to come back.
