2. Good marksmanship with all of the adrenalin from getting your front door then bedroom door kicked in by a pavement ape. I think Texas has a castle law so the victim should be patted on the back for such a fete of marksmanship.

Texas does indeed have a castle law (or did 15 years ago when I lived in Dallas), and the shooter probably wasn’t even taken down to the police station - he probably was simply invited to come down the next day to make a statement, if they even asked for one. They probably won’t even convene a grand jury, unless the shooter was white (oh, my! Famous black killed by white!).

   Like Rich K said, it’s quite obvious what really happened.

   I can’t help but smile at the (last) thought of the victim as he kicked the bedroom door down and DIDN’T see his GF in bed with the shooter - - and DID see a big gun pointed at him.  OOPS!

5. Oh and ooGCM - obviously the shooter was NOT a white man - when the zoo killing a gorilla (ended our desire to do the last day of Zoo Babies) was a bigger headline/’news’ story than this - an NBA player?!? Your answer is in the amount of press given or NOT given.
