  1. Since when do we consider a member of the Taliban a human?  I submit they are not human and have no human rights.

  2. Want to put a stop to this nonsense? Vote UKIP.

  4. Oh, and the 96 hour Taliban?

I recall a Terry Pratchett story featuring a guy named 71 hour Achmed. You see, in his culture, visitors received Guest Right that included 3 days of sanctuary. So for 72 hours they were safe from all forms of violence, punishment, and retribution. Except Achmed was a secret policeman and the camp was a long way out in the desert ...

So, capture them, pump them chock full of brain melting chemicals to make them babble, then put a rubber gun in their hands and leave the door open. Oh oh, shot while escaping, too bad.

  5. It was a good result for democracy Drew. Whether this translates into UKIP MP’s next year in the General Election remains to be seen. A lot of former tory voters (myself included) will never vote for the Conservatives now after Cameron called us “fruitcakes, swivel eyed loons and closet racists”

Nigel Farage has already stated that he considers Margaret Thatcher one of his heroes. The interesting part is that a lot of dyed in the wool Labour voters are voting for him as well. They would sooner crawl over a mile of broken glass than vote for Thatcher but they can see that their “party of the workers” has sold them out and become the party of welfare wasters and immigrants. It would be analogous to die hard Democrat voters changing to the Tea Party but I think if you want to see change that is what has to happen and maybe we are just further down the road than the US.

The pundits here are completely out of touch. They have orchestrated a smear campaign against Farage and UKIP that Goebbels would have been proud of. Yet it backfired. Farage appeared in two TV debates with the leader of the liberals Nick Clegg (a devoted EUroweenie). I watched both and felt Farage wiped the floor with Clegg, but the pundits claimed it was a draw. They don’t have a clue. The three main parties and their respective leaders are all virtually indistinguishable now. None of them have ever had a real job. Cameron was a PR spiv briefly, but the other two dickheads went straight from University into politics and the public are sick of these fools.

I was delighted to see that shyster Clegg reduced to one MEP. They went into a coalition government with the Conservatives and the one honourable thing they could have done would have been to stick to the commitment to push through changes to the boundaries. The way it is now Labour can win a big majority of seats even though they poll millions less votes than the Conservatives Its a scandal and the Liberals could have done something about it but chose not to. They deserve everything that is coming to them the duplicitous bastards.

  6. Damn well said L.

I’ve been somewhat under the weather of late and while I have paid attention to happenings, haven’t posted what I should have and have wanted to. I’m just drained these daze.  No, ‘daze’ is correct for me lately. Nothin serious mind, but blah nonetheless.
Anyway .... So much has happened re UKIP and the sniveling turds who berated him for so long. Even the DM , every chance they got to make him look bad, the use of bad photos and screaming headlines with ref. to UKIPers who quit the party calling it racist etc. Oh hell. You don’t me to tell ya. And now Cameron and red ed all of a sudden discovering “The People” and their voice. But you put things very, very well and thanks.
Damn it Lyndon, why won’t you write editorials for us here? Your knowledge is encyclopedic and could add much. Besides, who knows the Brit scene better?
