Another Inconvenient Truth

  1. Were all those statements of fact from the Elders peer-reviewed? Were their comments published in professional journals? Are “Caribou Studies” the profession of those Elders?

    No?

Well, then obviously they’re full of shit.

Y’know - I’m starting to regard anything published on any subject as already-half-falsified if Global Warming is even mentioned once.

  2. I take just a bit further GM - if I read it in a ‘news’ paper, see it in a slick magazine (you know, the grocery/convenience store kind) or hear it on 90% of the networks - I believe the exact opposite.

The internet is coming almost as close - but here it just takes a couple of clicks to see the exact opposite (or to find out that the first 10 entries are set up by the company/person themselves).

Where are all these eco-wacko, boo hoo hooers when it comes to the Wild Horses here in America?  Oh yeah, they are just nasty little horses inhabiting some of the finest celebrity ‘vacay’ home land there is - of course they need to be slaughtered from helicopters or sold off to ‘slaughterhouse’ guys masquerading as average Joes wantin’ a lil hossy for the yungins. BTW, on that subject, if you want to watch an hour of awesome - The Extreme Mustang Makeover - the Challenge (in the fall) is incredible. 40 trainers/horse lovers are chosen to take 90 days to makeover a wild mustang. The first event for 2012 (there are a half dozen) is set in January in Fort Worth TX. We caught one of the Challenges last year - amazing what these people can do in 90 days with a horse that wasn’t raised around human beings.

These ‘scientists’ and their stupidity is much like Doris Roberts on the Genesis Awards (animal lovers hug me, love me hour) who was breathless and extolling her non-turkey Thanksgiving show (Everybody Loves Raymond - I think) - and then saying she was breathless as she just flew in from a Pro-choice walk in DC - I never watched the Genesis Awards again. If they can’t get the utter depraved hypocrisy of their actions/beliefs - it’s a lost cause.

Politicized science - if you want to see real medical science at work - and NOT on the gov dime - go to a local Shriners Hospital. And to get a real taste of real horror and torture - go to one of the four Burn Centers - as what they are doing is cutting edge, for anyone in the World who can get there (and a lot of the world patients are sponsored by people for their trip/care) - and of course free to those whose insurance won’t pay or those who have no money. Shriners is what happens when real Americans see a need and figure out a free market way to make it happen - since 1922.

  3. All the horses here in the US derive from Euro stock from the 1500s(?) or later - which in turn derived from animals domesticated for thousands of generations and 10’s of thousands(? again) of years. Man has already left his mark on their genes.

It would not surprise me at all that a young wild horse picked at random could be domesticated in sort order. All the genetic “parts” are already pretty much in place.

Try it with a wildebeest. Actually - don’t.
