  2. I have so many questions about this - but mostly scared to death that the Director of the CDC sounds like a frickn moroon when he speaks.

A questionaire and a ‘fever’ radar gun - are sufficient ‘screening’ methods for a deadly (no known cure or vaccine) disease? I can not even print the bad words that that alone come to my mind - and I have little (other than being a parent for 4 children) medical training - but I grew up with a Doctor for a Dad and an overzealous wanna-be doctor for a Mom - so I did learn a thing or two. Plus now I have all the old time interesting medical books (written prior to healthcare by Big Pharma guidelines) - including a 50/60s era Red Cross manual (even the one I got in the early 70s is better than the bogus crappola put out today). And oh yes, the CDC guy - never answered the question as to whether this guy was an American or if his family (here in the US) were Americans.

Close contact - we (Frieden and Gupta) aren’t in close contact - I haven’t hugged him - but yeah, 3 feet or less - is close contact.

Meanwhile the incompetent Secret Service - let an ex-con with a gun (aren’t those BOTH felonies in DC?!?) into an elevator with the (p)Resident. Too damn bad - nothing happened.
Oh - and did you know - someone shot at the White House last year - (again - isn’t that a felony in DC)?

    Bite Me

This juvenile bully pc crappola is going to get us all killed.

  3. Easy folks.  While there probably will be a handful of additional Ebola cases here in the U.S., we have huge advantages over any African country when in comes to containing and eliminating it.

Hygiene and sewer systems to name but two.  In the areas where Ebola has become endemic, sewers are the ditch between the huts and soap isn’t that common.

Infection basically requires direct or close contact with an infected person or their bodily fluids to transmit the disease.  The people with real exposure to our domestic Ebola patient have all been quarantined. It is unlikely that the disease will spread beyond them.
