The response to terrorism should not be proportionate. It should be devastating, not only to the terrorists, but to their families, friends, neighbors and anyone else who shelters and supports them.
Yet the scale of the response exposes Israel to international criticism. Almost 300 Palestinians have been killed in the last two days alone. By contrast, rockets fired from Gaza have killed 17 Israeli civilians in the last seven years.
Pretty good kill ratio. Now if they’d just step it up a bit. They’ve only got 3 weeks. AND:
a. Meanwhile, Israel has blockaded Gaza of all but essential humanitarian supplies and launched regular military raids.(Cut them stone OFF! Starve them out, or let them eat their terrorists.)
b. On the rare occasions when the territory’s border posts have been open, Palestinian fighters have occasionally attacked them, forcing their closure and maximising Gaza’s isolation and the ordeal of its people.(This being the reason. If they can’t control their dogs, they have to leave.)
I truly wish there were an easier, kinder way. There isn’t.
I might have guessed it was an English newspaper, Dis-portionate would be riding the world of all palestinians, this whole mess would have been over years ago without “public” opinion, where is the outcry about the palistinians that are affectively hostage in Arab countries?? These Arabs are not indigenous to this area so history is not on anyones side, how many Arabs are welcome in Israel? how many Jews are even allowed in Palestine, when did Palestine begin to exist?
Single Stack has it exactly right except woo-hoo, it might violate someone’s civil rights to do it that way. Oh yeah, I’m going to assume that the Pals have also been given our constitutional rights also. So it would violate that as well.
