AN ANTI GUN DUMB AMERICANS RANT BY A LEFT WINGER THAT RUINED MY BREAKFAST

First and foremost to all - in America and NOT - the RIGHT to ‘keep and bear arms’ that CONGRESS ‘SHALL NOT INFRINGE’ upon is in our Constitution. There is no debate, on that issue. At All. EVER. And no one, not even the NRA is promoting the ‘every citizen to have a nail bomb.’ Are leftists/liberals all crackpots, insane and liars - the world over?
And to answer his inane headline - Kennesaw, GA - mandatory gun ownership by heads of households - since 1982 - 3 gun homicides (all in Gun Free Zones, big surprise). Wait, damn it - not International enough for Mr Steel - try Switzerland - also mandatory gun ownership (after mandatory service) - low crime.
For 8 years we heard that 911 was an inside job and GWB ignoring ‘intel’ - for the first time in my life - I have no problem believing that this Administration intentionally ignored ‘intel’ on these two and probably used the ‘manhunt’ as a test run for martial law (and look at how damn well it worked).
Profile - I don’t have a problem with shoot to kill. Stop this ‘we are the world’ open borders crappola. Look at how it’s failing the world over and getting us killed. And another part of the problem is that the liberals in Congress have been working feverishly to undermine, defund and get rid of NSEERS - which would have prevented this debacle.
Talk about an inside job.
NSEERS, for those not aware, is
The National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) or INS Special Registration is a system for registering certain non-citizens within the United States, initiated in September 2002 as part of the War on Terrorism. Portions were suspended as of April 27th, 2011. This system has two separate components: port-of-entry registration and domestic registration. In each case, those who register are fingerprinted, photographed, and interrogated. They are required to provide detailed information about their plans and to update Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) if their plans change. They are only permitted to enter and depart the U.S. through designated ports of entry.
It applies mainly to islamic nations, egad. It does not apply to Chechnya at this point; I’m not sure if it ever did.

I took the whole thing as a slam against us period. And especially some of the comments made at the end of his rant. Suddenly out the blue bombs are going off during a race and people are without limbs. A little girl loses her leg, her brother and maybe her mom who has brain damage. So I can understand people coming out and celebrating relief that the threat is over and the vermin dead or captured. I’d venture a guess that the lockdown was meant to make things easier for the authorities, and worries about possible further attacks against anyone outside. And the entire city of Denver wasn’t I don’t think, fearful of nail bombs. Somehow, the random maiming and killing by bombs like this somehow has more impact.
Or it might with many people. I don’t agree that Steel was hinting about more ppl frightened by the cops then by the bomb leaving vermin.
Almost any opportunity to take apart the USA and especially where guns are concerned, is cannon fodder for the left. I hate them for even thinking that they are qualified to pass judgment on gun ownership in my country, based on no real experience of living in the USA. To read these jerks, one would think it was the OK Corral every week. And the lame example of a cop being shot dead who had a gun so therefore guns protect nobody. Bah. This place gets to me and today has been a trying one indeed.I have just heard this minute that George Jones has passed away at 81.
Damn! He had problems early on and for a long time but hell. I feel like shit right now.
I had met him once or 2wice, no more, but liked the guy. I was a friend of someone who wrote songs with him and was close.
This really has been a hell of a day. Crappy way to end it too.
He was about the very best we had.Drew, I don’t know how you manage read something by a lunatic meathead like Steel and then prepare a coherent response. People like him are just mind bogglingly (is that a word?) separated from reality it’s hard to respond because a coherent response requires fact and logic. Steel’s article has pretty much nothing in it except for hatred and ridicule of people he doesn’t know.
I read his piece and couldn’t even imagine a rational response. There was so little of fact and logic in his piece, so much hatred of the Bostonians and Americans in general that he reminded me of nothing so much as a completely psychotic Klansman. There’s just no reasoning with people that far out of it.
Getting a little more on the practical side, the Boston lockdown is a nasty precedent. I managed to miss the articles about police smashing in the doors of private homes without good reason. In my part of Los Angeles, that kind of behavior is highly likely to result in injury and death - cops and civilians alike. Even without the legal and Constitutional aspects, that’s a bad situation.

Doc, I happen to think of something else.
I wasn’t familiar with Steel way back in ‘04, and was in Ca. at the time of 9/11.But I wonder what he wrote if anything, about the happy cheerful people we saw celebrating the fall of the twin towers in the middle east.
I did a little research on him. In general, he’s a little smarter than the average Liberal, but still hate based and would probably love to see Israel pushed into the sea.
I wish for this clown what I wish for all anti gun, anti second amendment folks. Someday soon may you and yours find yourselves in a situation where you are in mortal danger and nothing but a gun will save you. And may you have no gun because of your own twisted, progressive, mentally ill beliefs. And may your last thought be “what have I done?”.
